For a long time, I have built a world where I could finally express the intense emotions that refused to stay silent inside me, scratching at the walls of my soul to surface; a place where I finally felt “at home.” In this agonizing yet fascinating process of creation, my close friends were by my side like my shadow. But on this path, I also met you, my dear travel companions, whose faces I had never seen, whose voices I had never heard, yet whose souls intersected with mine between the lines. We were perhaps few in number, but we gathered from all corners of the world, meeting on the shores of a shared dream.
I chose to put those dark desires in the depths of my soul into words rather than hiding them, to shout rather than stay silent. And thus, Helakirtor, the land of all realms, was born. This was not merely my sanctuary; it was also the land of my friends whom I had never met face-to-face, who found a piece of themselves in these lines. It turns out the desires I carried within me were far more colossal than I had guessed, and my dream world was far beyond what I had hoped for.
As this universe expanded, I grew along with it. No matter what I did in the hustle of daily life, my only desire upon returning home in the evenings was to wander the misty streets of these realms and listen to the whispers of new characters. My soul wanted to dance here, among these words, and I could not restrain myself. As I approached my late twenties, this story bled, scarred, and matured right alongside me.
But over time, I realized a truth: Helakirtor deserves a destiny far greater than the one I had tailored for it. This story promises a journey too profound to fit within the confines of a digital diary. With the support of you, my precious readers, I want to give this world we built shoulder to shoulder the great chance it deserves.
To do this, I need to allow some time for my other responsibilities in life to lighten, and especially for the completion of my doctoral thesis. As soon as I turn this academic corner, I will dedicate my every breath to rebuilding this universe. My preliminary discussions with certain institutions in Britain have clearly shown me that this story absolutely must reach much wider audiences as a published work.
Due to the strict but necessary rules of the publishing world, I must temporarily unpublish all chapters on these pages that witnessed the birth of Helakirtor. During this period, while I continue my struggle in the academic world, I will devote my nights to perfecting the skeleton of this universe.
These lines are certainly not a farewell or an end. This is the process of a colossal universe, which no longer fits its vessel, breaking its shell and taking a deep breath. I am grateful to each of you for being my lantern and accompanying me on this journey I embarked upon toward the darkest and most hidden corners of my soul.
I want you to know that I have planned Helakirtor as a massive, epic series of at least five volumes. And I make you a promise: In the future, when the first book of this series takes its place on the shelves, I will send a signed first edition to all my friends who walked with me on this blog. Please send me an email at galiluminosa@gmail.com so that when that great day comes, I can reach out to you with my own hands.
Until I return, I will continue to break the silence on these pages with essays on life and short stories. Hoping to meet again in the future, at the beginning of that very first page smelling of printing press ink, accompanied by melodies beneath the glow of the old moon…
